if you live in the tropics you see 2 of them every year.... but only if you live in the true tropics... ....it;s the event that last roughly half a minute when the sun passes directly over head and shadows disappear.... for that brief moment the sky becomes brighter than at any other time.... the air around you even becomes brighter... and some things literally appear to glow.... .....it happens at different times around the world depending on what your tropical latitude is .... and it goes by different names in different countries.... in hawaii we call it lahaina noon... ..... and it will happen today in honolulu at 12;29 pm.....

to me it;s a special event.... sadly most people won;t even be aware of it.... they will be indoors or maybe just not paying attention when it happens... . or maybe they will notice things get a little brighter and feel a little hotter for a few moments and won;t know or care to know why.... ..it passes by so fast it;s easy to forget once it;s over with... .and of course if it happens to be raining or an overcast day it might not even noticeable at all... ... ..

but we have clear skies on oahu today...

and yes i know... it;s not really an end time event..... but it could seem like one to people caught unaware..... maybe... ..
