  so in response to the threat of covid-19 potentially killing millions of americans and finishing off what had been a robust economy... .. ..retailers....who sell the kind of merchandise and everyday essentials that americans have been panic buying in mass numbers for the past 2 weeks.... have decided to reduce their operating hours by almost half.... .. they claim this will help reduce their customers potential exposure to the virus.......... some stores have even posted that for the first hour of business every day the store will be open only to those over the age of 60 and their caretakers......
  
  right........
  
  lets examine this idea cracked straight from the solidified brains of maniacs for a moment.... ...
  
  you have a situation in our country where a highly infectious virus is being spread among the community..... .. you have health officials recommending social distancing for everyone.... ..in other words staying away from other people......  .. they advise that everyone take extra personal heath precautions and  to specifically avoid crowded places.. .....especially places where infectious people might be.....
  
  ....so what do the retailers recently made rich by a global panic that cleared their shelves of inventory and put billions of dollars into their pockets do?....... ..they devise a plan that will draw the people at greatest risk... .. the elderly..... some of whom might already be carrying the virus... ..into their stores all at the same time, and put them all into one big crowd together.......... .....and instead of allowing other customers to come at their leisure and spread themselves out with regards to time as well... ..they want them all condensed into one compact group together too.. ...........
  
  am i the only one who sees the insanity of this plan?......... ..why is nobody among the federal health officials currently basking in front of the television news cameras for their 15 minutes of fame, not sounding the alarms over this?......... ..this is not a plan to reduce the chance of a virus spreading among the community... .. it;s a plan of lunacy to insure that it will.........

  and... ..in another act of needless knee jerkism... ..sure to cause more problems than it solves..... after witnessing the video of self centered millenials on a florida beach.... doing what people of the millenial age usually do, and throwing caution to the wind in their pursuit of pleasure...... our local brainiac mayor of honolulu closed all city parks... ..
  
  there are many reasons this is ridiculous... .. not the least of which is it;s not enforceable.... . unless of course honolulu police want to take officers off of investigating serious and violent crimes.... which they foolishly announced last year would be the only crimes investigated due to manpower shortages..... and then put those officers formally tasked with investigating break ins and purse snatchings but currently assigned to a murder and other types of mayhem cases... ..and then reassign them once again to go out and begin arresting people taking a walk in the park for fresh air... or issue fines to families walking on the beach or wading at the waters edge......
  
  i guess being criticized for their announcement last year... which gave petty crooks and hoodlums an open season on the public... wasn;t enough....  now they must really want the ire of law abiding islanders to fall on them by subjecting us.. ..without protection.... to the criminals even more depraved than average burglars and purse snatchers.... .all of whom will now have an open on us as well... .... ... so.... per those we elected to assure public safety.. ..you are now officially on your own when it comes to defending yourself from criminals..... .but don;t get caught taking a walk in the park.. ..or strolling on the beach... ..you will be arrested on sight.... . ....
  
  but as over the top that might sound.... ... and yes...... i portrayed it from it;s worst possible viewpoint... ... . it;s not the only reason this mayoral order is ridiculous... .. and even dangerous.....crowded beaches like waikiki?.... ... yes... close them....  but the majority of city parks... and less frequented beaches... are the only place where honolulus thousands of homeless can spread out and occupy spaces here and here that won;t intrude on anybody else..... . police have now been told to start herding them all towards the sidewalks and streets where they will be forced to congregate in those very same tightly packed groups that experts on this virus have told everybody to avoid.... ..  unless they want to invade private property and further congregate in close quarters with the owners and legal residences of those properties..... ....(yeah right.... has anyone mentioned that gun sales have also increased during this season of panic buying?).. .. ....some homeless are being told to go to one of the 3 homeless shelters on the island.... which are over crowded petri-dishes of disease and bacteria even on a normal day..... .... .
  
  on another note all bars have been closed and all restaurants have already been ordered to cease dine in services and begin delivering take out orders only.. .. which i can understand and believe is right under the circumstances..... ...but the problem is most restaurants have had to close because they don;t have the personnel or logistical ability to put something into effect like delivering to all their regular customers, through take out, on the scale it would require. ... . ...hopefully the pizza places will be able to step up and deliver to all the people who will now find ordering a take out pizza when it comes time for dinner ...the only other alternative to filing into a grocery store and lining up shoulder to shoulder with all the other people trying to stock up on groceries within the shortened and limited time frame the stores have reduced their hours to.... .....
  
  
  i understand taking precautions and advising people who don;t really need to go out and about to stay home... ...but isn;t there a point where knee jerk reactions... ..hyper-draconian orders... and just ordering a change for the sake of having change, damages a country more than any viral pandemic could?.... ... and from what i read it;s not just hawaii, but other states and even world wide, mayors and governors are taking actions that have the effect of actually jamming more people together in more tightly packed groups... rather than causing them to spread out or even sequester alone in their houses... . ..i think it;s time someone other than a career politician takes charge of these mandatory "social distancing" policies....... .

  so....... like most cities under lockdown orders.... new york city has cut back the number of subway trains running... .. and now, after seeing a video of a subway car crammed full of people who work essential jobs... and forced to all take the same train together due to lack of options.. ..a few doctors in new york city have begun to realize that perhaps cutting back on services.......like reducing the number of hours essential stores  are open..... might have been a mistake during a time when people are supposed to be social distancing and staying 6 to 10 feet from each other to reduce the transmission of a deadly virus..... as it forces people to all be in the same place at the same time......
  
  finally...... ...someone with common sense and the power to make difference speaks up..... .....hopefully one of the brainiacs who run the state an city i live in.. ..and who recently closed all the city parks and beaches....the only open spaces in the state where social distancing is even possible.... ..will listen and reconsider what they have done.... ....
  
  but i realize  it might be hoping against hope. ... ..they are politicians after all... .not doctors.... .. in their mind micromanagement and draconian action...even when it;s counterproductive.... is the only way to address any situation they have never seen before..... and therefor have no experience with........ .. meanwhile street hoodlums who usually conduct their nefarious deeds at night, have now taken to breaking into cars and carrying out assaults in broad daylight - with no fear of being arrested.... as the police are too busy driving up and down main streets next to parks and beaches yelling at people through loudspeakers to evacuate the area and go home.... or to get back on the sidewalk already over crowded from the masses of homeless people previously chased out of the park...... .....

  and now....... banks... .. at least the banks where i live.... already famous for having long lines of people standing shoulder to shoulder together waiting for the next teller to finish her nails and call them to the window..... have also announced they are not only cutting their operating hours in half... but also cutting down by half the number of branches that will remain open during the pandemic....
  
  this means that unless some radical new policy that is both hack proof feasible goes into place which will allow customers to do business with a bank online in ways they couldn;t do before...... ... the next time you find yourself simply having no choice but to do business at a bank in person... ... (cash or a paper check that must be deposited ..etc etc..)..... it is likely that there will be 4 times as many people waiting in line to do business at that one bank as there was before..... ..is someone going to be there in some official capacity that can separate the crowd into an orderly, evenly spaced line.... all standing 5 to 10 feet apart?........ ...if the wait in line to see the teller, prior to the pandemic, was 15 to 20 minutes.... ..i wonder how long it is going to be now with up to 4 times as many people all there at the same time?......

  so... a little over a week into the hawaii state stay at home orders..... with a mandatory 14 day quarantine enforced on all arrivals to the islands...... ..... only the military is flying in a sky that a month ago was filled with airlines bringing vacationers and tourists to these islands...... hotels are empty..... with the exception of those being quarantined.. ...parks are empty by order of the powers that be... ... who appear to have taken their nonsensical exercises in draconian power for the mere sake of it.... ... and as i suspected it is all having dire counter consequences.... . actually forcing people who need to go out for essential errands to gather in large groups.... and forcing homeless people and others to congregate on sidewalks rather than spreading out in the parks.... ......
  
  meanwhile....people driving cars around... even if they are in the vehicle by themselves.... are being stopped by police and asked what their reason for being out of their house is.... .. but people on bicycles are left to go where ever they want... any time they want..... in fact. ..... .in an order that might have come directly out of the green new deal playbook.... the mayor even said he didn;t want people driving around in their cars unless it was to perform an essential errand.... . but if you needed to get out then riding a bike or taking a walk on the sidewalk was ok .... .. a walk on the same sidewalk already overcrowded with homeless people...... .....
  
  but perhaps nothing demonstrates the true ridiculous nature of this new draconian action than an incident that happened 2 days ago on a semi-remote beach..... . a woman..with no previous criminal record...... was arrested and taken to jail for the audacious crime of sitting on the beach by herself with nobody else around her, for at least 2 hundred yards.... and reading a book..... ... kinda hard to get more socially distanced than that.. ..right?..... .. ......but no... both the mayor and the governor have declared people like her hardened criminals...... and her crime?..... violating the governments stay at home and shelter in place mandates.......
  
  meanwhile street thugs continue to roam around at night....  some of them even on bicycles....  breaking into cars.... attempting to break into closed businesses... .... but the police have made it clear they don;t have the manpower or the proper protective equipment at this time, to be making arrests for those kinds of .."minor" ...infractions.. ...... no.... they must focus all their assets on arresting people who are not violating any actual law on the books at all.. .... and who are actually avoiding large groups of people..... . though the police are arresting people like that too.... busting up childrens birthday parties and the like.... ..... .. but the majority of arrests and citations continue to go to people who are out by themselves.... practicing social distancing exactly like the president suggested.... ..but not doing it in the way our authoritarian local government mandated... ..who recently decided they have the power to suspend an entire nations constitutional rights... .. and getting more and more drunk and ridiculous on that new found and self appointed power by the moment......
  
  and if you do manage to get out without being stopped by police you will find store shelves are empty.... ...and due to reduced hours people are waiting in lines to get in there and buy what little remains...... .. .commercial travel has come to a complete stop.. ..tourism currently banned.... . ..  driving a car is practically banned unless you have a very good reason... (so you better have yours ready if you are going out there..)... ..the economy is going down the drain.. and the majority of people recently laid off are running out of money... ..plus the parks their hard earned tax money previously paid for are completely closed to them... .. as if somehow the park is going to be damaged or infected by the corona virus too.....
  
  
  
  so if you are curious about what a green new deal could look like should the socialist wing of the democrats take power in november?.... .... just wait through a few more weeks of this.... and i think we are all going to see it......
  
  
  
  
  
  ok.... that;s it...... long rants on this subject done with..... .not sure if anybody is actually reading this anyway...... ..but the opinions and observations were all mine and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of anybody else.. ....we are... btw ... sequestered in our own apartment and for all practical purposes self quarantined.. ...but it;s by our own choice not some government mandate....  why?..... because thanks to what the government has mandated it;s now a very dangerous place out there.... home is the only safe place left.... ..

  so.... .. ..almost 6 months since i posted last in this thread.... and a lot of things happened
  in the meantime.... .. first park restrooms were reopened when the city brainiacs realized
  that closing them and then forcing all the homeless onto the sidewalk created a bigger
  mess than they could have ever imagined.. .. sidewalks here in some parts of town started
  to look like san francisco.... .. then after that parks and beaches were reopened as long as
  no one congregated in groups with people outside their own household family members....
  ....essential business were allowed to return to normal business hours coz they realized... (just like
  i said back in march).... that reducing hours simply forced more people into the stores at the
  same time..... and then, as a result of people following common sense rules, the daily case load
  was significantly reduced by april .... .. in may with the case load down to near zero...almost all
  restrictions in honolulu were lifted . .. ..certain rules about social distancing and advisories about
  wearing of masks remained in place.... the 14 day quarantine for out of state travellers remained
  but all businesses were reopened as long as they could keep customers separated..... .
  
  for a while things returned to normal... or near normal.... in honolulu........
  
  and then, in june 10,000 people disregarded the restrictions and advisories to protest...*they marched
  down a main street together, totally ignoring both social distancing rules and all other safety guidelines....
  *and then they all jammed together into one city park for a rally...... ..*after that they all started
  partying together and hanging out at bars, to "celebrate" their victory over the system....  **and in
  mid july the case load of virus cases in honolulu began to spike again..... .for the next month or so
  cases gradually increased to a level never seen before, until now we are back on full lockdown again in
  honolulu... ..
  
  anyone with a brain who studies that would not be mystified as why it has happened... but not our
  city leaders.... they are completely bewildered.....
  
  ..*never mind 10,000 people.. (mostly healthy young adults and some of them blm organizers from
  the mainland who violated quarantine).... marched down one of our main streets, not wearing masks,
  shouting slogans, and then all crammed together like sardines, for a rally in a city park... ....**and then pay no
  attention to the fact that it takes 2 weeks for people of that age group to show positive for the covid19
  virus and become contagious..... and you will completely miss the reason why 2 weeks after those people
  went home from the protest, their elderly family members became infected from their protest acquired virus...
  (grandma grampa and elderly uncle roy... and etc..... .).. the daily viral case load spiked.  ...
  
  those young healthy adults might have been showing minor or no systems.... even now... they probably
  didn;t even seek medical care...... but their not so healthy relatives came down with severe cases of full
  blown covid19.... and many of them had to be hospitalized.... some of them began to die....... depending on
  their level of health it might have taken anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks for them to become sick
  enough to seek medical care..... which coincides precisely to the timeline of caseloads spiking on this island
  ..
  
  but our city leaders have completely ignored all that...... know why?....... because medical personnel and virus
  contact tracers have all been instructed they cannot ask viral positive people whether or not they attended
  a protest or whether their family members did..... ....and when all these facts are brought up to them they
  deny any possibility of being true .... and claim that since the spike in cases didn;t happen 2 weeks after the
  protest.... but rather 4 weeks after.... then virus transmission at the protest is not even a possibility..... ..and
  we should all just leave the protest out of this......... ... mind you some of the people supporting them are medical
  professionals well aware of the probable scenario i laid out in the previous paragraphs..... .but they say there is no
  evidence that is what happened..... ...and why is there no evidence of it?..... well because contact tracers were
  not allowed to ask questions about it.... and if someone volunteered that info on their own it was disregarded.....
  .......you know... .... first amendment rights and all that........ (actually it was fear of backlash from BLM)
  
  try to reason with one of them and the conversation ends up more ludicrous than abbot and costellos
  "who;s on first" routine..... ...
  
  but contact tracers and medical personnel can still ask you about whether you went to church...or whether
  your family members did....  (you know...that other 1st amendment right).... coz there is no CLM movement
  going on right now...... (christian lives matter)...... so churches are basically shut down at this point too....
  and the ones allowed to remain open can only have a small number of people in there service... all separated
  by 10 feet.... wearing masks.... limited preaching, and no singing of any kind allowed...... ..
  
  but as for all those blm organizers who came here from the mainland for the protest in june... and thumbed
  their nose at quarantine?.. ... they were all allowed to go back home without interference....without police or
  anyone else asking them a single question..... .first amendment and all that again.... blm definitely has those
  rights...... too bad the rest of us don;t.......... ...
  
  
  so .....pay no attention to those authoritarians behind the curtains.... and pay no attention to the left wingers
  trying to steal the election through a mail in voting system that allows their hand picked election volunteers
  to hand pick which ballots should be validated and which ones should be rejected....... in fact.... . don;t even try
  to peek behind those curtains at all..... ....these people are the great and powerful wizards of democracy... .. and
  they know what;s best for you... ...

  this was the scene on the sidewalk outside of walgreens today.......... 
  
  
  
  but i survived it better than the poor guy in the video did by handing over a couple of bills
  as a walked in without making a fuss over it....... then after i was done there i went over to
  barnes & noble to pick up the latest pendergast book that just came out.... and maybe a few
  other thing s too ... ..... and that;s where i ran into trouble........ .....
  
  they had completely re-arranged the store since i was last in there..... ..isles were set up like
  a maze with blind corners and dead ends...... ....books were not organized in a way that made
  what i wanted easy to find.... ....i found the pendergast book i wanted easy enough,.. it was
  on the table of new releases... ... but in browsing through the isles trying to find everything
  else i found myself continually coming face to face with other people that i did not even
  know were there.... and who were also searching through the store for things they couldn;t
  find........ and that was a situation i seriously wanted to avoid...... ....
  
  so i took my one book and went to the register to pay for it and get out of there........
  
  as usual the cashier asked me if i found everything ok... .. and so i let her have it.. i didn;t
  realize i was in a bad mood when i went in there.... . but i found myself in one when i got
  to the register.......so i told her everything i saw wrong with the way the store was organized
  and how it was not safe, considering a pandemic was still going on... and rather than helping
  keep people distanced from each other it actually forced them together into tighter spaces....
  
  she apologized then asked me if there was anything else i needed......... there wasn;t.... i paid
  for the book with my credit card...... .
  
  then she pointed out my receipt had a coupon on it for buy one cookie and get one at half
  price....... ..so i went to the snack bar to see what cookies they had...... ....
  
  they did have good cookies.... but when i checked my pocket change i realized i only had enough
  money left for one cookie.... not the second even at half price.... i didn;t want to use my credit card
  for something like a cookie..... so i asked the cashier there if, since technically, the coupon was offering
  me half a cookie for free if i bought the first one... could she just break the second one.... give me
  half of it, and call it even..... ..she looked at me like i was crazy...... i realized i must have had the same
  look on my face as the homeless people in the video and those outside of walgreens asking for change...
  
  and that was another situation i seriously try to avoid......
  
  so i pulled out my credit card....bought 2 cookies... plus 2 egg and cheese breakfast muffins.. a super
  sized triple espresso frappucino.... and went to sit on the floor in a secluded corner to pig out....  all
  the chairs in barnes and noble were taped off so nobody could sit in them...... so were the tables.... 
  
  then i realized if i hadn;t given the guy outside walmart 2 dollars from my pocket i would have had enough
  money to by the 2 cookies... get one at half price... and saved the cost of a starbucks breakfast which i
  really only bought to save myself further embarrassment after looking stupid in the cookie transaction......
  
  oh well........ ....viral stupidity is contageous.. ... even for me

  It's strange to think that Covid has been so exploited by the world governments, the WHO, Bill Gates, Anthony Fauci, etc. It ticks me off that people can't see what is going on because they're too scared to pull their heads out of their hind ends to live their lives. These vaccines are a farce..."You have to be vaccinated to protect the people who have been vaccinated and are already protected so that they feel safe." HORSE PUCKEY! If they want the jab so much, let them give it to themselves. I won't submit to it. Idiocy now abounds fully in this country, and the head idiot is Biden.
