People that participate in "cliques" are unstable in the truth of Gospel......
Yet, that is exactly what Christianity has become. Group after group after group forming "cliques" to fellowship in the name of Christ....
What's even worse is..... there is a growing concentration of people who claim they're not part of some "clique" in Christianity..... only to form their own little clique in response.
The saying is true... "Birds of a feather, flock together".
The only real fellowship we have with our brothers and sisters in Christ is the fellowship of singularity in Christ. Being the "Body" of Christ..... where there are no rulers leading "cliques". Just one Master in Jesus Christ.
Whether its a "clique" forming a "club" and calling it "church"..........or a "clique" forming a protest group to combat the "entrenched clique".......
No one is going anywhere soon......
Which is really the "state of affairs" with this age. -

i once heard it said like this... ........birds of a feather flock together..... but flee to the nest in stormy weather....
i grew up hearing sea shantys and nautical sayings... .....
the true test of a church or group of christians bonded together in Christ versus a club or clique is that a true church will weather the storm and withstand the trials while the clubs and cliques are more likely to fall apart when the going gets rough..... ..most modern churches in america have never suffered real persecution for the cause of Christ.... and in recent years many who were simply presented with a legal challenge to their beliefs - such as those who were recently pressured into performing same sex weddings - totally caved in and even changed their churches constitutions to abandon scripture and reflect a new acceptance of same sex marriage and the open practice of all things "gay"..... ... i left such a church a few years ago..... ... what it has become since then is no longer a church in my opinion.... ... but a club or clique that also happens to operate a gay wedding chapel......
i don;t mind being a part of a club or a clique.....in fact depending on the club or clique it can be kinda kewl..... ..... but to me church is neither a clique nor a club....... it;s a family established by Christ and committed to the service of God.... and as scripture says... "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it"..... . ...
