Maya Angelou once said....
“I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
"Bear with me" for a few moments.....I really dislike such "pearls of wisdom" that come from human intellect. Don't get me wrong. I have no "beef" with Maya. Rather, I've enjoyed listening to her as tears ran down my check. She could invoke the human spirit unlike many others could. However, she's wrong here.
What people say and what people do.... inevitably relate to how they make us feel! In fact, its entirely ironic that people would ignore the fact that what Maya was saying and doing was affecting how they feel in this very sentence!!
Which leads me to what I want to say...
I have a "pastor" friend that's getting a ton of grief over how he's challenging IFBs to love others. Not that they don't love "their own". They will as long as they get along.
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one toward another.
Its not how you dress that makes people know you're a follower of Christ. Its not how much you know that makes people know you're a follower of Christ. Its how you love.........
