"Church" was once all about doctrine.

There once was a time when "Doctrine" was important to the Church on this earth.
It can even be said that the apostles often "split hairs" when it came to doctrine because it is so very important to properly construct and support the Truth of Jesus Christ.....
NOW, not so much.....
People don't go assemble based on sound doctrine. They assembly based on friendships, social constructs, and power brokers....
Its not uncommon to hear a sermon on the pettiness in most social circles in the average church these days but every seldom, if ever hear a sermon on doctrine..... Sure you'll hear someone's preferences but the reality and deep of doctrine within the early church is long GONE....
Most of the time, when I start talking about the complexity and construct of doctrine teachings these days, I just get blank stares or hear... "why does it matter?"
Sad!
