I Issue a Challenge to a Friendly Debate

I'm fine. I just don't have anything else to say. This is not a topic I'm passionate or educated about.

No problem. Want to call it a tie and open the thread to comments?

I have somewhat distant family that are part of the "Church of God" movement. Which is pretty much those seeking to be a more "holy" representation of the Assemblies of God.

I know the IFB have a HUGE problem. However, so do the various charismatic churches.

I know they want to say they believe in modern day apostolic powers..... and I am not a cessations by any stretch of the imagination......

However, they dishonor the true sense of Spiritual apostolic gifts by claiming they are gifted with the exact same gifts as the apostles.

No. They can not. Even Paul's did "special" miracles. Miracles that he couldn't perform later in his ministry. It often amazes me to see a AOG preacher tell his congregation that they have right to healing. That there is no reason they can't have completely healing.....

All the while they're using glasses to preach from the Bible.

The IFB and the AOG both cheapen the works of God. They just do it differently. Both of them are still our brothers and sisters in Christ. They just need to change like all of us do.....
